Located in the city of Brampton, the Comic Warehouse has some hefty competition to win over consumers in a city with several options for your board game and geek needs. Building a strong community of gamers with a large variety of merchandise defiantly helps them push ahead of most other venues in the city. As the name suggests this is not your typical board game store as it deals primarily in comics. However it can be argued that no other store in the city of Brampton offers the variety of board games that the Comic Warehouse does.

When trying to build a community of gamers it is important for a store to have a gaming space and The Comic Warehouse boasts the ability to accommodate 20-30 players comfortably for gaming events in its main gaming area. When an event requires more space have an addition space on their upper floor that can fit another 30 players. That means this store can accommodate up to 60 players for tournaments and events which commonly happens for the many Magic the Gathering events held throughout the year.

In relation to merchandise the board gaming shelves encompass about 50% of the store with the rest going towards comic books. The varieties of board games are great, with most things being kept in alphabetical order. Another shelf is dedicated to new releases and the last space is reserved for their miniature game section as well as role-playing games and books. This store has almost everything a person with a love of games could ask for and want. They offer a frequency of sales with the largest and best taking place in the month of December, great for the holidays, where every day has a new deal. To make things even better the store supports the vicinity rewards card system allowing for even more savings when collecting points and spending them on in store credit.

The staff are very friendly at this location. They have always been helpful and knowledge with their products.

In terms of events they run most events once a week with a different on each Sunday. By having events alternate on Sundays it can greatly help with games feeling like routine, gives time for people to building and collect and helps keep things fresh. They also have a large and robust section of board games that you can try out and play before you by with board game nights happening weekly. Gaming events is not all they offer. Periodically they also host comic artist signing events with local artists and known artist from your favourite series. To learn more about it they have an email group for each community they have.  Admission for these events are usually paid by essentially buying a gift card or a product making events effectively free if you make a purchase in store. The other plus for the adult gamer is that the age group of gamers that appear at these events are generally older in the mid to late 20’s and higher.

The city of Brampton has a wealth of board gaming store options and the Comic Warehouse is able to stand out with its great selection of games, comics and collectibles. They offer almost everything you could want on their shelves.

Would I come back? Of course I would if I lived in the area. The community is good and the product variety is on point and we could not ask for more in the Brampton area. You guys are extremely lucky to have a store like this so close.
